Benjamin Alan Gallaher, age 32, of Heiskell, passed away at his residence on Friday, July 10, 2026, from injuries sustained in an accident. Benjamin was born on March 13, 1994, in Oak Ridge, Tennessee.

Dirt track racing was Benjamin’s greatest passion. He proudly drove a Mod Mini and was affectionately known throughout the racing community as “Big Mex.” He was loved, respected, and cherished by countless drivers, crews, fans, and friends within the racing industry.

Benjamin was known for having an exceptionally big heart and was always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. He was the kind of person who would truly give someone the shirt off his back. His kindness, generosity, and loyal friendship touched the lives of many.

Above all, Benjamin deeply loved his family and friends and treasured the time he spent with them. He also took great pride in owning and operating his own lawn care business. Benjamin genuinely loved mowing yards and found great satisfaction in working outdoors and caring for his customers’ properties. His generous spirit, warm heart, and unforgettable presence will be deeply missed by everyone who knew and loved him.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Amos Baird, Sr., and Mary Brooks, and his uncle, Freddy Baird.

He was survived by his wife, Lillian Gallaher of Heiskell; his children, Scarlett, Hayden, and Ariel Gallaher; mother, Beverly Baird & husband Alex of Lake City; father-in-law, David Neely & wife Tammy of Clinton; brothers, Zackary Baird, Timothy Gallaher, and Christoper Gallaher; sister, Brittany Gallaher; grandparents, David Brooks and June Baird.

The family will receive friends from 12:00 to 2:00 pm, Monday, July 20, 2026, at Holley Gamble Funeral Home. The funeral service will follow in the chapel, with Pastor Jackie Bunch and Pastor Tony Bean officiating. His graveside will be immediately afterward at Sam Foust Cemetery.
