Bailey Young, age 84 of Clinton, passed away at his home on January 10, 2011. He was a member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church. Mr. Young was a veteran of the United States Navy and his favorite hobby was farming.
Preceded in death by father George Young; mother Mary Reed Young; brothers Roy, Jimmy, Buster, Charlie, Walter, Kyle, and William Young; sister Ella Young Seiber.
Survived by loving wife Ascella Smith Young; sisters Georgia Hackworth and husband Ralph of Lenoir City, Bonnie Davis and husband Halmond of Knoxville, Inez Lane of Clinton; brother, Albert Young and wife Jean; several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, January 13, 2011 from 6-8PM at Holley Gamble Funeral Home with funeral service at 8:00PM with Rev. Larry Watts officiating. A graveside service will be held on Friday, January 14, 2011 at 2:00PM at Pleasant Hill Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Pleasant Hill Baptist Church Cemetery Fund.
