Azilee Weaver Copeland went home to be with the Lord on December 23, 2015. She was born in LaFollette, TN, to Lee and Alice Weaver on June 11, 1924. She was preceded in death by her parents, and her brothers and sisters Clyde Weaver, Lonzie Weaver, Sofie Nelson, Goldie Childs, Andy Weaver, Judd Weaver, Hubert Weaver, Jess Weaver, Tom Weaver, Katie Shaw, and Polly Rains. Prior to her marriage she worked at the Y-12 Nuclear Facility in Oak Ridge. After her marriage to the love of her life, Raymond Copeland, she devoted her time to her husband and family. She loved working in her home, cooking, and gardening. She is survived by her son Larry Copeland and his wife Cherrie. She had two grandchildren, Melana Sinkler and Pierce Copeland. She had four great grandchildren, Draven, Brody, Pierce Jr., and Ellie Copeland. She was a faithful member of Solway Baptist Church until she went into assisted living at Canterfield of Oak Ridge. There, she was spoiled by their wonderful staff who she grew to love, that gave her tender loving care.
The family will receive friends Sunday, December 27th from 3:30 PM - 5:30 PM at Holley-Gamble Funeral Home in Clinton. A graveside service will be Monday, December 28th at 1:00 PM at Woodhaven Memorial Gardens in Claxton. In lieu of flowers the family asks that memorial donations be made to Knoxville Area Rescue Ministry, P.O. Box 3310, Knoxville, TN 37927, www.KARM.org.
