Angela (Angie) Leinart Blackmon, surrounded by her family, passed away peacefully on January 14, 2013, after a courageous battle with cancer. Angie, born on May 17,1958, was a native of Clinton, Tennessee, but had resided in Texas for the last 26 years.
Angie was the owner and operator of the Volunteer Ranch for unwanted and unloved animals. She was an avid gardener and loved landscape design. She was a master cake artist/designer who formed a successful business and recently won the Capital Confectioners Cake & Sugar Art Competition in Austin, TX. Angie's cake art will be featured in the March/April issue of the National Cake Decorating Magazine. Angie loved her family and friends and was always available to them.
Angie was survived in death by her loving husband of 32 years, Joseph (Joe) Blackmon; son, Joey Blackmon; daughter, Courtney Mosquinski & Dewayne Mosquinski; parents, Bill I and Jean Leinart; sister, Patrice Davis & Mark Davis; sister-in-laws, Jennifer Lynch and Melissa Leinart; special aunt, Bobbie Stooksbury; uncles, Eugene Stooksbury and Clark Courtney; special cousin, Debbie Zachary; cousins, David and Shawna Courtney; nephews, Brian Lynch, Matt Lynch, Eric Lynch, Will Leinart and Ben Leinart; niece, Elizabeth Leinart.
Visitation will be on Tuesday, January 22nd from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. at Holley-Gamble Funeral Home in Clinton. Funeral services with Brother Mike Thompson will follow. Burial will be at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday January 23rd at Sunset Cemetery.
