Ancil Hyden, age 79 of Clinton, passed away on Saturday, September 22, 2018 at the Beverly Park Place in Knoxville. He was born on May 5, 1939 to the late Jack and Arizona Petree Hyden in Fonde, KY. He was a member of the Church of God Mountain Assembly and enjoyed singing in church. He also loved going to car shows and riding his motorcycle. He loved his family, especially his grandchildren and will be dearly missed.

He is preceded in death by his parents; brother, Kenneth Hyden of Siler, KY; sisters, Bernice Chaffin of Siler, KY and Juanita Gibson of Detroit, MI.

He is survived by: loving former wife, Hazel Hyden; children, Aaron Hyden and wife, Jennifer of Cleveland, Dion Hyden of Clinton, Ancil Hyden, Jr. of McMinnville, Timmy Hyden of Michigan, Amber McNeal and husband Jason of Powell, Priscilla Malone of McMinnville, Pam Hyden of Nashville; step-children, John Dycus of Knoxville, and Lana Hughes of Knoxville; brothers, Don Hyden and wife Trena of Clinton, Dean Hyden and wife Lavonda of Mayville; sister, Reba Douglas and husband Russ of Knoxville; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and other family and friends.

The family will receive friends at the Holley-Gamble Funeral Home in Clinton on Monday, September 24, 2018 from 4-6pm with the funeral service to follow at 6pm with the Rev. Leon Petree and Rev. Arlie Petree officiating. Graveside services will be on Tuesday, September 25, 2018 at the Norris Memorial Gardens at 10am. www.holleygamble.com
