Obituary

Alma Jane Ivey, of Clinton went home to be with the Lord on September 14, 2023, in her home surrounded by her family.  She was born on April 6, 1930, to Geneva and Louie Pounders of Clinton.

Alma dearly loved her husband Luther (Sug). She enjoyed bowling, knitting toboggans for children with cancer and potholders, growing flowers, fruits, and vegetables, reading Christian authors, and watching detective shows.  She loved to watch birds with her dog FeFe, especially hummingbirds and red male cardinals. She is loved dearly and will be missed.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 68 years, Luther M. Ivey; her parents, Louie A. Pounders and Geneva Pounders Disney; step-father Dave C. Disney; brothers, David C. Disney and Charles L. Pounders; and her sisters, JoeAnna Gray and Dortha Williams.

Alma and Sug played a huge part in their children's, grandchildren's and great-grandchildren's lives; She is survived by her children, Diana (James) Jenkins, Louie (Alania) Ivey, and Pam Moretz; siblings Betty (Jim) Richmond, Paul Pounders, Shirley (Brian) Dameron, Jerry (Dixie) Disney; grandchildren, Lee Freels (James), Hope King (Rodney), James Jenkins (Stephanie), April Manning (Duane), Patrick Jenkins (Brittany), Angela Ivey, Erin Nivens (Shane), Keri Daugherty (Adam), Christopher Waters (Sarah), Zackary Ivey; great-grandchildren, Gracelynn, Hunter, Taylor, Wyatt, Kelsey, Micah, Brooklyn, Tanner, Olivia, Abigail, Jacob, Alandria, Josie, Cade, Hudson, Emory, Karev, Avery, Kyleigh, Amelia; and many great-great grandchildren as well as many beloved nieces and nephews, bowling friends, and neighbors.

Mrs. Ivey was laid to rest at a private family service at Grandview Memorial Garden in Clinton, TN on Tuesday, September 19, 2023.
