Alex Elmer Turpin, age 87 of Clinton, passed away June 10, 2013 at his home. He was a longtime member of Bethel Baptist Church. He was a proud U.S. Army veteran and served in the South Pacific during WWII. He was a member of the Valley Masonic Lodge of Andersonville. Alex retired from the Forestry Division of TVA after 37 years. He loved working on his farm and looked forward to planting his garden each year.

The family will receive friends Thursday, June 13th from 5-7:30 pm at Holley-Gamble Funeral Home in Clinton. Funeral service will follow with Rev. J.C. Newman officiating. Graveside service with full military honors will be Friday, June 14th at 11:00am at Bethel Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Darrell Taylor officiating.
