Alan D. Hoose, age 81 of Claxton, went to be with the Lord March 27, 2013. He was a longtime member of Valley View United Methodist Church and was retired from Martin Marietta. Alan loved to square dance, listening to country, bluegrass and southern gospel music, gardening and woodworking but above all he loved to spend time with his family and his friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Walter and Ruth Bristol Hoose; daughter, Jennifer Hoose.

Grandchildren: Christopher, Jenny, Sarah, Kevin, Andy, Joshua and Cameron
Great grandchildren: Early, Micah and Willa

The family will receive friends Friday, March 29th from 6-8PM. Funeral service will be Saturday, March 30th at 2PM at Holley-Gamble Chapel with Rev. Rick Miller officiating.
