Joseph "Adam" Elkins, 44, of Alma, Arkansas, formerly of Andersonville, Tennessee, passed away Sunday, March 18.  He was born July 13, 1973, in Rockledge, Florida to Joseph and Linda Elkins.  He was a member of Red Hill Baptist Church of Andersonville.  He attended Walter State University, where he received an Associate's Degree.  He spent most of his professional career in law enforcement at The University of Tennessee, City of Norris, Anderson County Sheriff's Office, and City of Forest Park, Georgia.  He became a federal agent for Department of Energy's NNSA, Office of Secure Transportation, where he was a training specialist.  His ambitious nature led him to pursue many business ventures.  He was owner and operator of Elkins Trucking, Elkins Sporting Goods, and AKA Cycles, including a motorcycle restoration show.  Most recently, his passion for bass fishing motivated him to open Limit Fishing Products.  Adam developed many friendships throughout the years, and will be dearly missed by many.  He was preceded in death by a son, Austin "Race" Elkins; and grandparents Wilber and Evelynn Elkins, and The Reverend Clyde and Rosella Helton.

Adam is survived by his loving wife, Stacy; son, Joseph "Anden" Elkins, and step-son, Jackson Mitchell of Alma, Arkansas; loving daughter, Marieve Elkins, and former wife Mary, both of Powell; loving parents, Joseph and Linda Elkins of Andersonville; loving brother Quentin Elkins and wife Shirley, and nephew Shane; special Uncle Allen Helton; in-laws, Tammi & Tony Tidwell; several aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Since Adam lived his life full throttle, a Celebration of Life will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 7, at the First Baptist Church of Andersonville.  Reverend Steve Lakin and Quentin Elkins will be officiating.  Interment will be at 2 p.m. on Monday, April 9, at Greenwood Cemetery in Knoxville.
