A Ann Rainey, 76, of Maryville, TN (formerly Clinton, TN) passed over into God's arms on Thursday, July 2, 2015 at Tenova Residential Hospice in Knoxville, TN. Ann was a loving wife, an awesome mother and the best ever Grandmother (Mamaw). She was a gentle soul who always looked for the good in others, was a friend to many and had a great love for children. Her grandchildren and great-grandchildren were the joy of her life. She loved to travel and spent many years with her sisters finding the next adventure. Ann was a Certified Nursing Assistant for many years at a Nursing Home in Anderson County.
She is survived by children: Carolyn Weisenberger (husband, David), Wesley Rainey (friend, Sonya), David Rainey (wife, Candy), and Mark Rainey (wife, April), 11 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren sisters: Willadean Dagley and Rema Seiber, brothers-in-law: Bob Carter, Dick Baldwin, and Dave Jansen, special friends, Evelyn Rainey, LeRoy and Jewel Beasley, Marie Moore and many, many nieces and nephews. Ann was preceded in death by her husband, Leonard Rainey, parents, Ruben and Bedie Cooper, daughter in-law, Pam Rainey, sisters, Jo Carter and Claudia Jansen, and many loved family members/friends who we know rejoiced in seeing her again.

The family will receive friends 2:00-3:00 pm, Sunday, July 5, 2015 at Holley Gamble Funeral Home with a memorial service to follow in the chapel.
